Saidi kishk — 500 g
125 EGP / 500g pack
Saidi kishk in a 500 g pack: grains or powder of dried churned milk with its distinctive sour, salty taste — the base of the kishk soup known across Upper Egypt. Soak it in water or stock and cook with garlic, samna and chicken or meat; it is also used with stuffed vegetables and in tagines, and eaten dry with bettaw bread. This size suits a first try or cooking it once or twice a month. Keep it sealed in a dry place away from humidity and sun, and use a dry spoon each time. Available by the kilo if you cook it regularly.
