Sidr honey — 500 g
220 EGP / 500g pack
Sidr honey, from the blossom of the sidr tree: dark brown, thick, with a strong flavour and the faint bitter finish that sets it apart from other honeys. It is the most expensive and least plentiful honey, which is why most people buy it in small jars and use it by the spoon. Eaten as it is on bread or with tahini, stirred into warm drinks, or spooned over yoghurt and nuts — its strength means a little goes far. Keep it in a sealed jar in a dry place away from sun; it does not need refrigerating. Any natural honey may crystallise or set over time or in the cold; standing the jar in warm (not hot) water loosens it again.
