Black honey (sugarcane molasses) — small

The same black honey in a small size: sugarcane juice reduced over heat — dark, thick, sweet with a faint bitterness. Right for a first try, occasional use, or a single recipe. Best known as black honey with tahini for breakfast, dipped with baladi or bettaw bread; also used in kahk, basbousa and other baking, and taken by the spoon. Keep it in a sealed container in a dry place away from sun; thickening in the cold and loosening in the heat is normal. A large size is available if your household eats it regularly.
